By the way, when you are in the middle of one of these things, forget about the concept of "over bought". When Jr producers are seriously undervalued (like the gold stocks are), they can go up nearly every day for a month. That's what happened with the Jr base metal miners in the spring of 2007 and I think conditions are better for the Jr gold mining stocks than conditions were for the Jr base metal miners.
The hard part is going to be knowing when the party is over. In the case of base metals, the LME inventory levels (and even the metal prices themselves) told the story. Maybe the amount of GLD holdings will have a similar role for gold on this run.
